Student Announcements

This year is the 45th anniversary of the creation of the DRS office on UW’s campus. In honor of this milestone, you are invited to our celebration May 22, 2024 from 3:30-5pm in the Mary Gates Hall Commons.

CONGRATS to all our DRS graduating students. We are proud of you and all your accomplishments! Best of luck with your future endeavors! If you need accommodations for commencement, you need to request accommodations through the Commencement office.

The University of Washington is proud to uphold the recent Washington state legislative effort to improve our campus climate. As one component of Senate Bill 5227, the University of Washington will host listening sessions to understand better the current learning, working, and living environments for UW students. At this time, we invite UW undergraduate students to participate in a 90-minute virtual listening session to share their experiences. Check out: UW Listening Sessions for more!

Do you have an innovative idea that would enhance the UW student experience? The Husky Seed Fund has the resources to make your idea a reality! Created by students for students, the Husky Seed Fund provides up to $5,000 for you, or a small team, to pursue your passions and bring your projects to life. Apply Here: https://forms.office.com/r/VZ8nXmZvfT. Check out: Husky Seed Fund website, attend or view an information session, and/or contact seedfund@uw.edu for more information.

Research project participation. Join Team TechTribe’s project to enhance online accessibility for individuals with disabilities, particularly the blind and low-vision communities! We’re integrating Generative AI to tackle online accessibility hurdles. We’d love to have you on board if you’re passionate about making a difference. Sign up to schedule a meeting and be part of the change!
